Yeehaaah - we won the 3rd price in the netbiscuits developer competition

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

Two hiogi mobile applications participated in the Netbiscuits Mobile Web Developer Contest and won a price in Boston today. hiogi’s “ask-a-question-solution” (http://ask.hiogi.com) enables anybody to ask free questions from the mobile phone while traveling and the hiogi ticker (http://ticker.hiogi.com) keeps people informed about real-time questions. Possibly they will soon be realized as biscuits who are availbe for other mobile sites.

3rd price in netbiscuits dev contestMillions of Americans already use text for answer services and now hiogi enters the market with a free and open community that answers any mobile question. hiogi is a technology leader in mobile Q&A solutions and offers various free channels to post a question or to interact with the community. Besides text messaging the hiogis can use an iPhone application, various mobile portals, twitter, email from PDAs. Answers are being individually researched by the web 2.0 community in exiting answer battles. Each question is being ranked with 2 to 5 ogi-coins depending on the difficulty and each coin resembles a chance for the hiogi who provided the best answer to win various prices by the end of each month.

This is how it works: Simply register for free on the website www.hiogi.com or on the mobile portal http://m.hiogi.com and start asking questions about sport scores, traffic updates, hotel addresses, weather forecasts or simply ask for a local tip, a good advice or a recipe.

hiogi builds netbiscuits

Friday, October 17th, 2008

hiogi decided to start building further mobile portals and applications based on netbiscuits in order to deliver our content in an optimized way to thousands of different mobile devices. We also entered the netbiscuit developer competition with a question widget (http://ask.hiogi.com) that other developers will hopefully soon be able to integrate into their websites as an entry point to the hiogi mobile portal. Also, our mobile ticker (http://ticker.hiogi.com) shows the latest five hiogi questions. The ticker informs you about what others want to know and what`s going on in the community.
