Hello hiogis, we had a very good networking night yesterday at the big TechCrunch Meetup in Berlin. Even start-ups and investors from Hamburg, Munich, Cologne and other cities in Germany showed up and it was very interesting to exchange experiences. Of course we were also excited to meet Mike Butcher from TechCrunch UK.
Here are some pictures:
Do you want to stay informed about the questions that reach hiogi via Twitter? No problem. Simply follow hiogi_ticker.
And do not forget to send your own questions via Twitter SMS to our main account hiogi
Dear hiogis,
we built a new hiogi ticker for you that now runs as a Yahoo! Widget.
Download the platform independent widget and stay informed in real-time about any new question that reaches both the English-speaking hiogi.com site or the German site. New questions will be shown on the lower right screen corner as a bubble and you can directly click any interesting question.
This is how it works:
1. Download Yahoo! Widgets. More Infos… or choose one of these two download links:
2. Download this file: hiogi_en.widget
3. Start Yahoo! Widgets and choose “Open Widget…” from the menue and choose the file “hiogi_en.widget” from where you saved it. Voilá!

hiogi is a project sponsor of betterplace.org and now donated another 120 EUR to a project in Leipzig after finishing one month of charity HELP SMS questions, where every German hiogi user would donate the margin of the 39 Cent SMS question to the 44044. The money will be used to purchase books and learning equipment for poor children of that region. hiogi already supported the betterplace foundation with a 500 EUR donation before.
More about the betterplace project.

Hello world,
hiogi is the world’s first knowledge-community that answers any mobile question and we launched our English-speaking rest-of-the-world-site under www.hiogi.com yesterday night. Now everybody can register with hiogi for free and participate in the most innovative wireless knowledge exchange, no matter if you are from the US, UK, AT, CH, FR, IT, ES or anywhere else…
For international hiogis we offer the following ways of asking a question while you are travelling and/or while you are away from your PC:
Currently the questions, on both the German and English-speaking hiogi-site, are still being mixed, but we will change this as soon as it gets too confusing. Also for the time being, we offer monthly prices, like hotel or gift certificates that can only be redeemed here in Germany, but we will also change this in the future.
We welcome hiogis with any nationalities and any wireless question in English you might have. “I help you today and you help me tomorrow” that is the principle of our community. Only hiogis can send you insider-tipps, experiences, compressed search-results and infinite knowledge about any topic directly to your mobile phone.
